2010/11 New Swimmer Assessments
We are now
taking bookings for new swimmer assessments for the 2010/11
season. The assessments will take place from September
7th-9th. Please contact the office at 604-736-0411 for more details
and to book your time. Assessments are by appointment
ONLY.

Excels at National Competitions
VPSC
swimmers completed their domestic competition schedule for the
season with lots of success and records.
The highlight of the competition was Samantha Corea being selected
to compete for Canada at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships at
the end of August in Hawaii. Samantha was one of 20 Canadian
females age 18 & Under in the country selected for the team.
Her club and provincial record swim in the 100 Butterfly qualified
her for the team. She will be joining Nina Takahashi as swimmers
representing Canada from VPSC during the month of August. Nina will
be travelling to California the first week of August to compete in
the North America Challenge Cup
competition.
2010/11 Schedule Change Information
During the first
week of July we have been notified of some changes in our pool
availability at UBC. We had to make some minor changes to a number
of groups schedules. Please be aware of these changes if you swim
at UBC.

2010/11 Swimmer Registration
Please contact the
office for new swimmer information. Assessments for a September
will take place from September 7th-10th. All assessments are by
apointment only. We will be accepting appointment from August 18th
until September 6th. Both assessments and group normally do fill up
so please call 604-736-0411 to make your
apointment.
Entry level for new
swimmers is around a Red Cross Swim Kids 6 level. New swimmers
age 9 & under must be able to complete at least 25m Front
Crawl and Backstroke without assistance. Swimmers age 10
& over must know all four competitive strokes.
