SWIMBC 2023 WINTER PROVINCIALS CHAMPIONSHIPS RECAP

VPSC had a very good showing at Swim BC Winter Provincials this year with an 8th place finish.

Leading the way for VPSC was a good mix of youth swimmers, setting records and winning medals, and senior swimmers, qualifying for new standards and winning medals.

Congrats to our club record breakers, Maya Molyneux, Juliette Roberts and Emma Zhang!

And congrats to all our medal winning swimmers: Maya Molyneux, Juliette Roberts, Avery Welsh, Emma Zhang, Lily Zhang, Noah Deschambault, Hiro Hiruki, and Ramon Siytangco.

VPSC looks forward to adding more hardware and swimmers to the Swim BC Summer Provincials!

Girls 11-12 relay: Gold in 4x50 Medley, Silver in 4x100 Free, Bronze in 4x50 Free

Emma Zhang - Gold in 100 / 200 Back, Silver in 200 / 800 Free, 200 IM, Bronze in 100 / 400 Free, 50 Back
Juliette Roberts - Bronze in 100 Breast
Maja Molyneux - Silver in 100 / 200 Breast

Special note:
Juliette broke the club record for 50 Breast in the prelims and Maja broke it in the finals! Currently, Maja is the new record holder. Maja also broke the 200 Breast club record. While Emma broke the 50, 100, and 200 Back club record. During this meet our juniors broke 6 club records!

Ramon Siytangco - Gold in 200 Free and 100 Back, Bronze in 200 IM, 100 Fly, 100 and 50 Free.
Lily Zhang - Gold in 200 Fly, Silver in 100 Fly, Bronze in 200 IM
Noah Deschambault - Bronze in 400 and 800 Free

Two new Canadian Trials qualifiers this weekend: Hiro in 50 and 100 Fly and Lucas in 400 IM.
